Lakewood Elementary School
The Kinsmen Club provided substantial financial assistance to the Parent Association to build an accessible Playground for all ages. The club also supported Family Carnival fundraising event at the school. Portions of the proceeds from camping at Friday the 13th events was donated to Lakewood PTA (formerly Doverwood PTA)
The club is strong believer of education and is always willing to help the schools in need of funding for worthwhile programs. Over the years, the club has often supported Lakewood Elementary School (Formerly Port Dover Composite School) with the sponsorship of awards for Award Night. We usually have a member present to assist in handing out the ten or more awards.
Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
Kinsmen Club of Port Dover actively supports the national fundraising program of Kin Canada for cystic fibrosis. In the past 45 years, Kinsmen and Kinettes across the country have worked tirelessly to help beat CF, contributing more than $36 million towards cystic fibrosis research and treatment.
